The trailer of Raksha Bandhan, a family drama headlined by Akshay Kumar, has been released. Helmed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna and Smrithi Srikanth.
The trailer shows Akshay as some version of Maryada Purushottam Ram (he is referred to as such in the trailer), who is ready to sell even his kidneys to marry off his four sisters, played by Sadia, Sahejmeen, Deepika and Smrithi. And only while he carries out his ‘brotherly duties’ will he marry his childhood sweetheart, played by Bhumi.
