Looking to transform your regular commute into an exciting island journey? Waze is introducing a new feature that brings the spirit of DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming film, Forgotten Island, directly to your car. The film is set to hit theaters on September 25, 2026.
Drawing inspiration from the mythical expedition across the enchanting island of Nakali, the character Jo, voiced by Grammy and Academy Award® winner H.E.R., is here to make your traffic-filled drives more thrilling. Jo guides drivers with turn-by-turn instructions that mimic conversations with her best friend Raissa, infused with confidence and warmth. Expect lively remarks such as “Tayo na!” and “Strap in… let’s roll!”
In addition to hearing Jo’s voice, you can adopt the “Nostalgic” Mood to enjoy Jo’s retro boom box filled with her notable mixtapes, and replace your navigation arrow with “Jo’s Jeepney,” the film’s colorful hero vehicle, which pays homage to Filipino heritage.
