Georgia library cardholders offered free career and AI courses

The Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) is offering free access to Google Career Certificates and Google AI courses to anyone with a Georgia public library card. This initiative aims to equip Georgia residents with essential skills for modern, rapidly expanding career fields, without the need for a college degree or prior experience.

The online training programs are designed to be flexible and self-paced, allowing participants to learn at their own convenience. Upon completing a career certificate program, graduates gain access to a special job platform where they can connect with Google’s employer consortium, comprising over 150 major U.S. companies such as AT&T, Deloitte, and Google itself. Notably, more than 70% of graduates from the Google Career Certificate programs report experiencing positive career developments within six months post-completion.

Interested Georgia residents can find more information and register for a free learning license by visiting georgialibraries.org/google-career-certificate.
